In property finance, Mark has experience across a wide range of asset classes, including Residential (from townhouses to high-density residential towers), Commercial, Industrial and specialised-use such as Childcare and Retirement Villages, through all layers of the capital stack, including senior and mezzanine debt, preferential equity and joint venture arrangements.

In business & corporate finance, he has a strong background in complex corporate structures, cash flow finance, asset finance, international trade, foreign exchange & interest rate hedging, production and analysis of complex financial structures and models, risk assessment and management, distressed asset management and strategic stakeholder management.

Dale Sparke Managing Director STAC Capital

Dale has extensive experience in structuring development finance and funds some of SEQ’s leading up and coming developers such as GRAYA Group, Keystone Urban Developments, Cielo Group and SKF Developments to name a few. Dale specialises in leveraged finance and has extensive relationships in the non-bank sector. 

It is Dale’s knowledge of both the Bank & Non-Bank funding market that allows him to provide his clients with multiple funding options aligned to their particular strategies, which are invaluable to their growth.

His property investment & development finance experience ranges across a wide range of asset classes, including but not limited to shopping centres, service stations, hotels and bulky-goods, as well as residential projects ranging from townhouses to high-rise apartments.

Awarded MPA National Commercial top 10 Broker in 2023. In 2019 & 2021, Dale was awarded “Qld Commercial Broker of the Year” by Connective, Australia’s largest finance broker platform.

Alex Stalder - Associate Director

With an extensive knowledge of property development, not only in debt financing but also including development feasibilities and market risk assessment, Alex has facilitated over $500 million worth of property development projects, including in the development advisory and investment selling space.

Alex is highly-driven with a strong client-focused ethos, a skilled relationship manager – no matter how many hurdles are thrown at him, he’s well proven at clearing them. 

Darren Bobby - Credit Executive

The majority of his experience is in business & commercial banking where he has had wide-ranging exposure to many industries including manufacturing, import/export, professional services, health, mining services, construction, property development and investment, and not-for-profit.

Past roles have included senior client-facing banker roles, as well as in Credit Risk.

Darren has a second-to-none ability to understand and analyse business and credit risk, which provides our clients immeasurable value when working through strategies to structure and arrange debt and structured finance solutions, working to achieving logical and mitigated risk solutions.

Darren is passionate about providing outstanding service to his clients and always fosters long-term ‘win-win’ relationship, a true fit with STAC’s Values.

Anthony Mack - Finance Broker

With extensive knowledge in home lending, he knows all the hoops & hurdles to get great outcomes for his clients – no matter how complex their borrowing structures or income sources.

Anthony also looks after commercial & industrial property finance for owner-occupiers, investors and SMSF borrowers, as well as being a specialist in Spec-Home Construction finance for builders.

Prior to his finance career, at first an under-20’s Brisbane Broncos player, Anthony then spent 5 years in the Building & Construction Industry and earned his Associate Degree in Construction Management. This education and construction experience gave him great skills in managing projects (a vital skill in putting together finance deals these days!) and working out how to overcome whatever obstacles are thrown at him – further adding to his capability to provide his clients with positive outcomes and experiences.

Lifting far too much weight at the gym, our favourite line of Anthony’s: “the only thing that works harder than me, is my top button”!

He was an integral part of Macquarie’s Asset Finance division from 2008, in both internal projects & acquisitions roles, as well as front-line business development. His deal experience has included funding “un-fundable” assets such as vintage cars, structuring comprehensive finance solutions for earthmoving businesses, and even turning past bankruptcy challenges into successfully funded deals, Rich’s prowess in equipment and business finance makes him an invaluable resource for business owners and the STAC Capital team.

At STAC, Kendra is responsible for all office procedures, and uses her organisational skills to ensure smooth operations in a busy work environment – keeping the business humming along (and keeping the boys in line!).

Stuart Small - Associate Director

Stuart’s background includes 12 years at NAB, including as a Senior Manager in their Corporate Property division and Business Banking. More recently, he spent time on the investment side of the ledger, in investor relations and capital raising for a prominent commercial property fund.

Stu’s experience on the investments side and with compliance sees him continue to act as a Responsible Manager for an AFS-licenced fund.

More than just numbers, Stuart stands out for his people-focused approach; he believes in building long-term relationships and has always advocated for business owners and investors, helping them achieve their financial objectives.
